2018 State Championships

From the 2018 National Championship results, the results of all WA Masters swimmers were extracted and points re-calculated to determine age group placings and therefore points at the WA level.  Riverton swimmers did well in this regard, with 9 of our 10 swimmers winning at least one medal, 7 winning at least one gold medal, meaning they are the State Champion in that event for their age group; and 2 of our 4 relay teams won a medal.  Overall, the Club finished in 10th position out of 29 participating clubs, with 533 points.

In addition, 2 of our swimmers won their age groups with most points:

Bruce Scorer: winner age group 35-39 years

Damien Eyre: winner age group 45-49 years

Total medals won: 13 individual and 2 relay

Individual Medal Winners

Our stand-out swimmers were Damien Eyre with 7 gold medals and John Porter with 5 gold.
